Forum meeting 15.10.03
The fifth Minister’s Local Government Forum meeting was held at the Adelaide Town Hall on October 15, 2003. Members considered the draft State Local Government Relations Agreement (a copy of the draft agreement is included in the documents below). Discussion continued on Septic Tank Effluent Disposal Schemes, with both State and Local Government indicating a willingness to consider significant changes to the sector.
New topics discussed by members included the possible sharing of some compliance functions by State and Local Government, and the potential for more efficient administration of rates concessions.
The October Forum meeting also marked the end of the first year of the Forum's operation. Members agreed that the Forum has made signifcant progress on important issues during this time. More details are avaiable in the document below on the twelve month review of the Forum.
