Forum meeting 06.04.05
Minister McEwen welcomed the Hon Patrick Conlon MP and the Hon Paul Holloway MLC to the Forum in their capacities as Minister for Transport & Minister for Infrastructure and as Minister for Urban Development and Planning respectively.
The issues regarding Stormwater Management and Flood Mitigation and Septic Tank Effluent Disposal Schemes were further progressed.
Dr Paul Vogel, Chief Executive of the Environment Protection Authority, attended the Forum and delivered an address regarding Non-Metropolitan Landfills, followed by general discussion.
Minister Conlon addressed the Forum regarding the State Infrastructure Plan, which was released later that day.
Mr Bill Cossey addressed the Forum regarding the progress of the Local Government Association's Financial Sustainability Inquiry.
Other topics on the Forum agenda included State/Local Government Relations Agreement Annual Review, Sharing Functional Responsibilities under the Environment Protection Act and South Australia's Strategic Plan, as well as various update reports.
