The Office for State/Local Government Relations, a unit within the Department of Planning & Local Government, provides advice to the State Government on the constitution and operations of the legislative framework of the Local Government system in South Australia and facilitates effective working relationships between the State Government and Local Government within South Australia.
Local Government (Elections) (Miscellaneous) Amendment Bill 2009
More South Australians will be encouraged to have their say in Local Government elections when they're held late next year under a series of proposed election changes being released for comment. Further information is included on the Legislation page.
