Interim Report

INTERIM REPORT

This Independent Review of Local Government Elections has three milestones:

  • Release of three Issues Papers
  • Release of an Interim Report; and
  • Delivery of a Final Report

This Interim Report has been informed by an extensive literature review and by a comprehensive consultation process.

Feedback is being sought on this Interim Report.   Again, this will inform the Final Report, which will be presented to the Minister for State/Local Government Relations and the President of the Local Government Association.

Any comments will be welcomed.  However, it will assist the Review if comments are more than just "yes" or "no" to the various options and proposals.   If possible, please try to provide a reason or some information why you support or oppose any of the various options and proposals. 

The Final Report is required to be completed by December.  Therefore, comments on this Interim Report will need to be submitted by 23 November 2007.

If possible, comments or submissions should be provided electronically in
(a) plain text (b) rich text format, (c) Word, or (d) HTML.   

Comments may also be made by post or fax.
